Dr Daelyn Cullen is a Sports and Exercise Physician specialising in the diagnosis of injuries, assessment of biomechanics, and exercise prescription for health, as well as all factors contributing to injury or illness. She is trained in the use of cortisone injections, PRP, hyaluronic acid, and is knowledgeable about when to apply these treatments. Daelyn has built an extensive network of like-minded professionals across various disciplines, recognising that the management of these injuries often requires a multi-disciplinary approach. 

Daelyn continues to treat all types of injuries and exercise-related medical issues, including those in children. With extensive experience working across a variety of sports—ranging from rugby and water polo to hockey, running, and triathlon, Dr Cullen is skilled in assessing and managing injuries, particularly those affecting the shoulder, arm, hip, knee, and foot, as well as handling both traumatic and overuse injuries. She also has extensive experience managing concussion at both community and elite levels, including assessment and providing guidance on how to return to work or sport quickly and safely.

Obtained Fellowship with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP).

2013-2017

Tournament Doctor for Australia Rugby 7s.

2016

Tournament Doctor for Olympic 7’s Rugby at the Rio Olympics.

2017-2022

Queensland Reds Men’s Team Doctor (2018-2022) and Match Day Doctor for Queensland Reds Rugby Union at Suncorp (2011-2017).

2018

Helped cover Rugby 7s at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

not responding to treatment as expected, or if diagnosis is uncertain. She can also see patients directly,
often referred from their family members or friends who have seen her before.
